About Me

My name is Ronni Butts. I am a junior at North Carolina Central University majoring in political science with a civic engagement and public policy concentration and minoring in mass communications. 

I am a politics and metro intern at The News & Oberver. I also serve as the Co-Editor-in-Chief at NCCU's Campus Echo newspaper. I am also a national member of the National Association of Black Journalists. I aspire to have a career in political reporting.

I am also an alumna of the 2025 POLITICO Journalism Institute.
